We hope that by developing our reading program we are contributing to improving literacy in early childhood, school and adult education settings.

Our aim is to make reading fun and easy to learn.

About the Program

• This easy and simple way to read by decoding and using phonics has been designed to increase the reading ability,confidence and self esteem of students.
• The rationale of Easy2Read2006^® is that accurate, independent reading of English is possible because the clue to correct pronunciation of every word is given.
• This is achieved by the student learning the number code, using common words and reading simple sentences that make up the reading program.
• Comprehension statements and questions are then completed. The student can read these too.
• The answers are at the end of the work book.
• They actually read by the end of the first lesson, which builds their confidence.
• They mark off their completed lesson on their checklist.
• Texts for independent reading follow.
• They begin with a simple letter with comprehension questions, and progress to longer texts which contain scientific information. These texts have the code for the first reading, then without the code for the second reading.

An ever increasing number of children entering Year 3 level in primary school cannot read well enough to cope with the rest of their primary schooling. Those early years are THE most important years for the child.

By the time they reach secondary level, their confidence, self esteem and self worth are so low that they have great difficulty in coping with their school work and social lives.

Poor achievement in secondary school leads to poor employment opportunities and a host of other social and health problems. The information in this Easy2Read2006^® program is designed to help students of all ages improve their reading of English.

It works successfully with those who may be dyslexic, are slow learners, have ADD or ADHD, have English as their second language, are being Home Schooled, live in a remote area, or anyone just needing to improve their reading and pronunciation. This program is self-paced.
